A Schuylkill County man has been charged with stealing a television from his mother and then selling it to a neighbor.

State police at Frackville said Anthony Edmondson, 26, of 135 W. Ogden St., Girardville, smuggled a 42-inch flat screen TV from his mother's, Joanne Edmondson, 59, home hidden in a futon mattress. He then sold the TV to a neighbor, Raymond Carfrey, 72.Troopers said Edmondson has been charged with theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception. The incident occurred between 10 and 11 p.m. on Saturday.
