A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a crash along Interstate 81 on Sunday. It was also learned that he was wanted on a warrant for another DUI in Northumberland County.

State police at Frackville said Damian Zimnicki, 35, of Ashland, was driving a 1998 Lincoln Town Car northbound in Foster Township when the vehicle impacted with a guide rail along the east berm. Zimnicki and two passengers, both from West Hazleton and not identified by police, were not injured.Zimnicki showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson Street, Pottsville, for a blood test.It was also learned that there was an active warrant for his arrest issued in Northumberland County for another DUI.Damages were moderate to the vehicle, which was towed from the scene.
