A Monroe County woman has been cited for a dog law violation.

State police at Fern Ridge said a dog owned by Christine Cabral, of Effort, pushed open a door at her residence and went to a neighbor's home on David Lane in Chestnuthill Township, and damaged a screen on a rear sliding glass door before he was retrieved by Cabral's son. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.Troopers said a citation was filed charging Cabral with failing to have her dog under control at all times.
