A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Tuesday after being charged with sexual assault related charges.

State police at Frackville said Charles Andrew Welna, 30, of Mahanoy Township, has been charged with statutory sexual assault, sexual abuse of children and related charges.Troopers said Welna was charged with assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Mahanoy Township.He was arraigned on the charges before on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, and taken to the county prison after failing to post $75,000 straight cash bail.
