State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a three-vehicle, rear-end crash about 11:46 a.m. on Wednesday along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Maureen P. Lunney, 55, of Saylorsburg, was stopped northbound attempting to turn left in a local business parking lot with Megan M. Morris, 24, of Stroudsburg, stopped behind her. Theresa M. Kern, 62, of Reeders was approaching from the rear and became distracted by her dog, who was in the front seat with her. Her 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor struck Morris' 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck in the rear pushing it into the rear of Lunney's 2016 Toyota Corolla.Morris was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.The Mitsubishi was towed from the scene.Troopers cited Kern for following too closely.
