A man who called Tamaqua police to report that someone was using his vehicle without permission ended up being the one to go to jail onFriday.

Andrew Zakashefski, 54, of 242 Cedar St., told police his girlfriend took his Ford F-150 pickup without his permission.He forgot to mention she was listed as a registered co-owner of the truck.When officers ran a records check on both parties, they learned there was a warrant for Zakashefski's arrest, issued by Northumberland County on an assault charge. Zakashefski was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville due to the warrant.In a search conducted before taking him to prison, officers found an unmarked container, filled with yellow pills that were later identified as Xanax. He faces additional charges for the drug possession.
