Several pounds of marijuana were found at a traffic stop in Monroe County over the weekend.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a traffic stop was made at 1 p.m. Saturday along Route 611 in Mount Pocono for careless driving.The driver was identified as Shawn Fequiere, 30, of Stroudsburg. A narcotics K-9 unit searched the vehicle and found a large package containing several pounds of high grade marijuana.Police said the package was vacuum sealed and bundled together with plastic wrap. The packaging and concealment was indicative to drug trafficking, police said.Fequiere was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies; and misdemeanor charges of possession of instruments of crime, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was also charged with summary offenses of driving while license suspended and careless driving.
