A former Tuscarora man, now living in Tamaqua, faces charges after he used someone else's bank card without permission.
Michael George Machay, 30, of 407 Willing St., was visiting a home on Cherry Street on March 18 when he took the bank card out of someone's coat pocket. He then used the card to make purchases at Walmart in Hometown and at Turkey Hill. The sales were all recorded by the stores.Machay was charged with four counts each of access device fraud, unauthorized use of an access device, credit card fraud and theft by deception; as well as five counts each of receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on May 2.
