A Schuylkill County man has been charged with aggravated assault and other counts on state troopers.

State police at Frackville said they responded to the village of William Penn, West Mahanoy Township, on Feb. 25 to investigate a disturbance.On scene Michael Charles Linkchorst, 36, of Shenandoah, became combative with troopers and had to be subdued.On Friday he appeared at the office of District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, to be arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and harassment.He was released on unsecured bail, troopers said, because he voluntarily appeared. Troopers noted no injuries occurred during the incident.
