Tamaqua police report

Several people were recently cited by Tamaqua police.

• Christine L. Alfaro, 45, ofNorth Railroad Street, Tamaqua, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after state parole agents visited her home on Feb. 27. The agents called police after they found syringes, spoons with drug residue and prescription drugs in a bathroom. Alfaro was the only person home at the time.• Barbara A. Francis, 38, ofArlington Street, Tamaqua, was cited for simple assault and harassment after a domestic dispute on March 9. The victim said Francis threw keys at her, striking her above the right eye. She was arraigned before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, who set bail at $10,000 unsecured.• Pedro Grullon Lora, 37, of Center Street, Tamaqua, was cited for disorderly conduct after police received numerous noise complaints about loud music on March 26. Lora was warned repeatedly about the loud music. He was cited after he continued making calls to the 911 emergency line, asking when he could turn up the music and complaining that police were harassing him.
