Two vehicles required towing from the scene of a crash at 11:25

a.m.Wednesday at the intersection of Schantz and Independent roads in Upper Macungie Township.State police at the Fogelsville barracks said the crash occurred when a 2010 Freightliner box truck operated by Edward J. Kudlesky II, 59, of Jim Thorpe, struck a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Helene Bruckler, 68, of Wescosville. Police said the latter was traveling west on Schantz Road in front of the box truck and turned right in front of the truck in an attempt to proceed onto Independent Road.No one was injured.The Equinox sustained severe/disabling damages to its right side and the box truck received severe/disabling damages to its front bumper area.Police said Bruckler was cited for the incident.
