State police at Lehighton are investigating the following incidents.
Crashes• On March 24, Robert Schermerhorn, 24, of Kunkletown lost control of his vehicle while traveling south on Interchange Road near Country Junction. Schermerhorn went off the left side of the road and struck a snow bank head on, and then went another 100 feet and struck a billboard in the Country Junction parking lot, where his vehicle came to a stop. No injuries were reported.• On April 4, Austin Haney, 19, of Hellertown drove off the roadway and hit a tree while taking a right-hand turn as he was driving southbound of Broad Mountain Road. Haney and his passenger, John Moench, 18, of Jim Thorpe refused medical attention and were released.• OnThursday, police responded to a vehicle crash at Route 115 at Kunkletown Road in Ross Township. A gray Volkswagen Jetta struck a gray Mazda 3 that was pulling out onto Route 115. One woman was injured, and transported to Pocono Medical Center.Harassment• On March 25, a 43-year-old Kunkletown man was cited for pushing a 48-year-old woman, also from Kunkletown, to the ground, causing her to hit her head.• On April 4, a 46-year-old woman in Eldred Township reported a 44-year-old man got into a verbal argument with her and pushed her. Harassment charges were filed at the Magisterial District Court for Ross Township.• On April 7, a 49-year-old woman came out to her porch in Parryville and started yelling at and insulting a 30-year-old woman for no legitimate reason. The suspect then threw a candle in a glass jar at the victim. The woman has been charged with harassment.• On April 9, police responded to a domestic case between a 23-year-old woman and 29-year-old man in Kunkletown. After investigating, emergency medical services were not needed, and both parties were cited.Miscellaneous• On March 29, police responded to a call at a Pine Cone Court home in Saylorsburg, where Danall George Greenzweig, 33, of Summit Hill was found to be heavily intoxicated and under the influence of a controlled substance in the driveway. Greenzweig was screaming and blowing a car horn at the home, where he did not live. Charges were filed at the Magisterial District Court for Ross Township.• On April 6, state police responded to a call at a Polk Township Road home for a domestic argument. Upon arrival, suspect Fred Baumgartner, 26, of Kunkletown was found to have an active warrant out of New Jersey. Baumgartner was arrested and taken to Monroe County Prison.• Between March 17 and March 23, an 82-year-old woman from Bowmanstown reported an incident of criminal mischief at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Bowmanstown. The unknown suspect or suspects damaged the maintenance shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.• On April 11, a 40-year-old woman from Lehighton was reported to be scattering 15 bags of household rubbish along Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township. Charges will be filed with the Magisterial District Court.
