The Carbon County Commissioners approved the following appointments relating to various boards during their weekly meeting on Thursday. Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein was absent.

• Reappoint Ann Dotter and Mary Figura of Jim Thorpe and Jeanne Miller of Nesquehoning to three-year terms on the Children and Youth Advisory Board.

• Reappoint Mark A. Sverchek of Lehighton to a five-year term on the Industrial Development Board.

• Appoint Carbon County Planning and Development director David Bodnar, county representative; Harold Pudliner, Weatherly borough manager, county representative alternate; state Rep. Doyle Heffley, at-large representative; and Eloise Ahner, county administrator, at-large representative alternate to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Metropolitan Planning Organization Technical Planning Committee. Their terms will be from July 1 through June 30, 2020.

Other business

The commissioners also voted to postpone action regarding the sole bid for the bullet-resistant material installation at three of the four district court offices for an additional week.
