The Andreas Fire Co. has closed its lot, traditionally used for parking for those attending the Andreas Halloween parade, which will be held this evening, according to West Penn Township supervisors.

Supervisors Chairman Al Martinez made the announcement at a public meeting Tuesday. Apparently, a wire has been strung around the lot, closing it to parade-goers.Efforts to reach fire company officials for comment were unsuccessful early Wednesday.
