Carbon County judges conducted parole/probation revocation hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who violated the terms of their release.

Alexander Modawar, 36, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a retail theft charge on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by being arrested on a new retail theft charge.Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced him to serve six to 23 months in the county prison with credit for 31 days already served. The sentence is consecutive to one he is currently serving on other criminal charges.Patrick McLaughlin, 49, of Albrightsville, had his parole revoked on a driving under the influence charge on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not completing 25 hours of community service.Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced him to serve one month back time in prison beginning May 1 at 9 a.m. However, if he completes the community service time by that date the order will be vacated.Bradley Zettlemoyer, 32, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on a charge of robbery on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by absconding from his approved residence and being charged with a new criminal offense.Matika resentenced him to serve six months in prison with credit for 30 days already served.Melissa Atkinson, 28, of Albrightsville, had her parole revoked on a DUI charge on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to report for her scheduled urine screen on three separate dates which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced her to serve six to 12 months in prison.ARD revokedFour people had their placement in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program revoked.Megan Welsh, 24, of Lansford, was revoked from the program on a charge of retail theft on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by having new criminal charge filed against her.Schana Stewart, 28, of Lansford, was revoked on a charge of theft by unlawful taking on petition of Eckhart for violating condition by failing to report to the probation office as directed and testing positive for a controlled substance.Catherine Hayes, 53, of Lake Harmony, was revoked on a charge of false reports on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs and failing to complete a mental health evaluation and treatment.All three had their cases placed on the next pretrial conference list.Kenneth Becker, 56, of Albrightsville, was revoked on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to complete 50 hours of community service. The revocation order states if he completes the 50 hours by June 1 the order will be vacated otherwise his case would be placed on the next pretrial conference list in June.
