Schuylkill County judges accepted guilty pleas from nine people charged by local police. All were ordered to pay court costs and fees in addition to their punishments.

James P. Goodman accepted a plea fromJessica L. Moyer, 31, of Tamaqua to a charge of criminal mischief.He sentenced her to 12 months on probation and to pay $1,846 restitution.Daniel J. Keach, 26, of Tamaqua: Charged by the Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, and possession of a small amount of marijuana on July 10, 2015.Keach pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance.President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced him to time served to 23 months in prison with immediate parole.Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana were dropped.Kevin Ketchledge, 34, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with criminal attempt/intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not registered, criminal use of a communication facility, theft by deception/false impression, receiving stolen property, and the manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance on March 1, 2016.Ketchledge pleaded guilty to theft by deception. Baldwin sentenced him to six to 23 months in prison.Charges of attempted possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and receiving stolen property were dropped.April L. McGeehan, 29, of Coaldale: Charged by Coaldale police with intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not registered, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and adulterating or misbranding any controlled substance on Aug. 5, 2016.McGeehan pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and retail theft.Baldwin sentenced her to 12 months on probation. A charge of adulteration or misbranding of a controlled substance was dropped.Raymond D. Trevorah, 43, of Tamaqua: Charged by state police at Frackville with making a false statement under penalty and a materially false written statement in the purchase, delivery, or transfer of a firearm.Trevorah pleaded guilty to false statement under penalty.Baldwin sentenced him to 12 months probation.Anthony Valentine, 23, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and intent to possess a controlled substance by person not registered on April 12, 2016.Valentine pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.Baldwin sentenced him to 23 months on probation. Additional counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and driving without a license were dropped.Justin R. Vereen, 23, of Tamaqua: Charged by Tamaqua police with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and intent to possess a controlled substance by person not registered.Vereen pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance.Baldwin sentenced him to one to two years in state prison.Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.Megan Welsh, 24, of Lansford: Charged by Coaldale police with driving under the influence/first offense, driving under the influence/ highest rate of alcohol (a blood alcohol content of more than 0.16 percent), and traffic violations on Feb. 21, 2015.Welsh pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and disregarding traffic lane.Baldwin sentenced her to six months on probation and fined her $325. Charges of failure to keep right and careless driving were dropped.Shannon M. Yemm, 23, of Coaldale: Charged by Tamaqua police with two felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, criminal use of a communication facility, and intent to possess a controlled substance by person not registered on April 23, 2015.Yemm pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance.Baldwin sentenced her to three to 23 months in jail.Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.
