March 28, 1957 Bob Mlkvy of Palmerton is named to the Associated Press All-State first team scholastic basketball team for the second year in a row. Mlkvy, a senior, finished the season with 752 points for an average of 25.93 points per game. The Blue Bomber, coached by Win Evans, ends his career with 1,925 points and also sets a Palmerton record during the season for points in a game 48 in a contest against Catasauqua.
