Aumont threw first-pitch strikes to eight of the nine batters that he faced.Key Play - Maikel Franco may be slumping at the plate, but he continues to contribute defensively. Ramirez was tagged out by catcher Cameron Rupp, who then threw to shortstop Ronny Cedeno, who was covering third, to get Eric Fryer, who was attempting to move to third base on the play.Pig Notes - The IronPigs will be losing starter Jonathan Pettibone, who will be rejoining the Phillies to make a start this Saturday against the Marlins in Philadelphia. Pettibone may get at least one more start with the big league club before Cole Hamels is activated off the DL later this month. He said what? - "He took a step in the right direction tonight. He had a better pace, he had a better rhythm, he worked more efficiently, he worked ahead and he simplified and just tried to stick with the game plan. Hopefully, he can repeat it and repeat it again." - Manager Dave Brundage on Phillippe Aumont's outing.Watching the scoreboard - Lehigh Valley (3-5) is now 2 _ games behind Pawtucket in the IL North.
