Kidder Township solicitor Daniel Miscavage listed the township's conditions if the zoning hearing board approves PennEast's request for a special exception to build a natural gas compressor station in the township:
• Requirement of lighting at the intersection of Route 940 and Industrial Road.• Lighting at the gate where the contact and emergency information is posted.• Information about the construction of the pipes to and from the compressor station and steps to avoid infiltrate product into the water table.• PennEast must agree to supply the township with reports of environmental testing that are periodically submitted to state and federal regulatory agencies.• Kidder Township will have the right for periodic inspection for noise, storm water, health and safety.• PennEast must maintain and update a proposed Emergency Operation Plan. Township officials and emergency responders will be included in the plan review process.The township requested that the applicant provide proof of required environmental water and sediment permits from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.PennEast said it will comply with conditions.
