PennEast Pipeline Company announces its seventh round of grant awards through its Community Investment Program, which now has invested more than $500,000 in local organizations making a difference in their communities.

PennEast's most recent recipients include Lehighton Shade Tree Commission in Carbon County, as well as Holland Township Volunteer Fire Company, Milford Fire Company and Trenton Police Department in New Jersey."The Shade Tree Commission appreciates receiving a PennEast Community Connector Grant, which will assist a Boy Scout earning his Eagle Scout award by beautifying the area between Lehigh Drive and the Lehigh River - a destination to many bikers and hikers," said Mark Hoffman, chairman ofthe Lehighton Shade Tree Commission."Additionally, PennEast's grant will help sustain and maintain trees planted for Lehighton's 150th Anniversary."Recent grant recipients include:• Albrightsville Volunteer Fire Company, Carbon County: Protective equipment for first responders.• Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Co., Carbon County: Mask-mounted thermal imaging cameras.• Holiday Pocono Civic Association Inc., Carbon County: Outdoor recreation.• Hunters Sharing the Harvest Program, Pennsylvania: Support processing costs for venison donated to food banks throughout the PennEast Project footprint.• Lehighton Shade Tree Commission, Carbon County: Outdoor recreation.• Northampton County Division of Parks & Recreation, Northampton County: Purchasing, delivery, planting and maintenance of 45 ball and burlap conifer trees.• Palmerton Memorial Park Association, Carbon County: Installation of a lift to serve people with disabilities.• St. Peter's Community Resource Center, Carbon County: Support for the Bare Necessities Pantry.
