Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of a utility trailer, taken from the area of South Railroad Street.

The theft was reported to police on July 28 and occurred sometime between 4 p.m. on July 26 and 8:30 a.m. on July 28.The 1996 Bri-Mar trailer is black, with a wooden bed, spring-loaded gate, 2-inch ball hitch, with a battery and winch at the front. It is valued at $1,500 and bears Pennsylvania license plate XFX6556.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at 570-668-5000 or 570-668-6100.
