Indians, Bombers, Tigers and Bears get softball wins

Despite the threat of rain and thunderstorms, several area teams made the most of the afternoon on Tuesday.

The Lehighton, Palmerton, Northwestern and Pleasant Valley softball teams all posted victories.BASEBALLNo. Schuylkill-Jim ThorpeNorth Schuylkill earned a victory over Jim Thorpe in a Schuylkill League match up, 8-4.John Rupinski did it all for North Schuylkill with three hits, two RBIs, and three stolen bases in the game. Jake Damiter also fanned nine Olympmian batters on the mound.Despite the loss, nine different Jim Thorpe players had a hit in the game.Ryan McCullough, Will Kovolenko, Bryce Micciche, and Dominic Pompa all registered multihit games.
