State police at Frackville charged Robert Joseph Ryan Jr. of Barnesville with burglary, criminal trespass for an incident that took place at 11 p.m. Sept. 1, at the home of Donald Marcinczyk. Police said that Ryan entered the Marcinczyk home through an unlocked door and once inside he was observed sneaking around before fleeing. Marcinczyk confronted Ryan and Ryan attempted to strike the victim with his fist when the victim defended himself by striking Ryan in the face. Ryan then fled the scene before he was placed into custody by police at his residence. Ryan was arraigned before District Magistrate Reilly and placed into Schuylkill County prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
