The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) kicked off its 17th annual co-ed summer volleyball league on Thursday evening on the sand court at Black Diamond Park in Coaldale.

Final scores were 25-13, 25-16, 25-15.Jason Boris led the way for Valley Athletic Supply with 22 service points, 15 of which came in the 25-13 game one victory. Sarah Paluck also factored in with seven points of her own.For Can You Dig It?, Tommy Hartman and Corry Whitehead scored four points apiece.Spiked Punch-Victorious SecretIn a match played in a steady rain, Spiked Punch took two of three games from Victorious Secret by final scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-18.Chris Hartung led Spiked Punch with 17 services points, including 11 aces.
