July 14, 2007 Tony Taptich and Chas Field both belt homers to lead Lehighton to a 15-6 win over Salisbury in the Lehigh Valley Legion playoffs. Taptich finishes the contest with four hits, three runs scored and three RBIs. Mike Thomas adds three hits and scores a pair of runs while Craig Zurn contributes three hits, knocks in three and scores twice. Lehighton, coached by George Zellers, also receives three hits and three runs from winning pitcher Kory Bates. Bates and Dave Blasko combine for 14 strikeouts and just one walk.
