The Stripes & Strikes 14U travel softball team recently obtained a bid and was one of 38 teams from the east coast to play in the NSA Class B World Series in Williamsburg, VA. The team qualified by winning Drifton Cup. Based out of Hazleton, the Stripes & Strikes are coached by Louie Rossi and feature several girls from the Times News coverage area. Team members are, from left, Taylor Donnon, Maddy Heller, Maddy Matsago, Rebecca Rossi, Hope Kinney, Jada Schellhammer, Taylor Kost, Cailyn Joseph, Brooke Zellner, and Courtney Hoffman. Donnon, Matsago, Schellhammer, Joseph, Zellner and Hoffman are all from Tamaqua.
