Tony Radocha, a former Marian High baseball player, alumnus and a assistant coach the past six years, was named on Tuesday to take over the Colts program, succeeding Jeff Nietz, who resigned after 21 years at the helm following the 2014 season.
Radocha was a four-year letterwinner,a Schuylkill League all-star catcher and outfielder for two years while playing for Nietz from 1997-2000.Radocha, 32, plans to keep the current Marian staff together, which includes his father Pete. The Radocha's have been part of the Marian family for 25 years.His main goal will be to continue running the program in the positive direction that Nietz did during his tenure.
