Pierce, after a key 37-yard gain, opens the scoring in the second quarter with a four-yard run. Later in the frame, a fumble recovery by Wally Minnich sets up Pierce's five-yard tally. The Bulldogs, coached by Dick Snell, receive an insurance score in the fourth quarter when another Minnich fumble recovery leads to a two-yard TD run by Ron Zellner. The Slatington defense only allows 47 yards in the contest.
