Northwestern grad Cole Miller's won the school first Big Ten Player of the Week award in more than three years by a Penn State golfer.
Miller tied for third at the recent Primland Collegiate Invitational in Virginia. The Big Ten recognized Miller's with its weekly award, the first for a Penn State men's golfer since March 2011.Miller shot rounds of 70-69-66 to finish the tournament at 11-under par. It was his best effort in three events at Penn State. The 66 was the second of Miller's career, and he placed ninth and 19th in his two previous tournaments. His scoring average at Penn State is 71.67, second on the team.
