October 21, 1966 Jerry Serfass scores all three of Lehighton's touchdowns and the Indian defense stiffens after a poor start in posting a 21-13 Lehigh Valley League win over Emmaus. The Green Hornets score on their first two possessions but are shut out the rest of the way. In fact, the winners' ball-control offense finishes the contest with 69 plays to 33 for Emmaus. Serfass, who finishes with 75 rushing yards, scores on runs of 1, 2 and 6 yards. Lehighton, coached by Mike Ebbert, also receives a safety when Denny Exner, Ron Kunkle and Randy Semmel combine for a tackle in the end zone.
