McAvoy, who rushes for 58 yards on 14 carries, reaches the end zone on runs of 6, 2 and 16 yards. The Panthers, coached by Caz Kosciolek, also receive a 25-yard touchdown pass from Lou Mele to Joe Karnish. PV's defense comes up big as Mark Zuber intercepts two passes and Bob Spezialetti picks off one and also records a safety.
