October 28, 1961 Johnny Hydro throws four touchdown passes, all to Art Guth, to lead Jim Thorpe to a 39-6 victory over Summit Hill. The Olympians, coached by Angie Konstas, open the scoring with TD runs of 22 yards by Frank Hydro and 6 yards by Hiller. Hydro and Guth then hook up for the final four tallies, connecting on passes of 43, 39, 15 and 29 yards. Hydro finishes the contest throwing for 164 yards. For Summit Hill, its lone score comes on a 15-yard toss from Joe Ambrose to Rod Lechleitner.
