December 3, 1957 Led by Eddie Miller, Lehighton gains an early advantage and maintains it to defeat Jim Thorpe 55-49. Miller tallies eight points in the opening quarter as the Indians, coached by Denny Roth, jump out to a 19-8 lead. Miller finishes with a game-high 18 points while teammate Dick Obert contributes 16, including five during an 11-0 Lehightin run in the second half. The winners also receive five points from Tom Herman. For the Olympians, Billy Bechtold and Jimmy Maehrer each score a team-high 17 points.
