Employees work on the reconstruction of First Street in Lehighton during the night in an effort to least impact traffic flow. The work involves the repaving of Route 209 from the Thomas McCall Memorial Bridge at Routes 443 and 209 to Jim Thorpe borough. Ashley Tucker of Scranton directs traffic. She and other workers said with the oppressive heat that's been occurring, they prefer working at night.
