March 3, 2007 Marian's Kristen Shickora not only wins a gold medal in the District 11 Class AA 100 backstroke but she also sets a new record in the event and earns Female Swimmer of the Meet. Shickora posts a time of 55.24 to easily claim the race on the second day of the district championships. Panther Valley's Allysa Vavra and Tamaqua's Adrian Bumbulsky also capture titles. Vavra wins the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.97 to earn her fourth gold medal of the meet, while Bumbulsky captures the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:31.40.
