An ordinance was adopted by Lehighton Borough Council which specifies that all parks, including the Community Grove on South Seventh Street, will be closed at 10 p.m. daily. The action highlighted a stormy meeting of the council in which 35 people attended and had complaints regarding borough parks. The complaints were that many problems exist at the borough parks, including consumption of alcohol, shouting profanities, urinating in public, and vandalism.
