April 24, 1961 Jim Thorpe scores three runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 15-14 Mountain League win over Black Creek Township. The Olympians, coached by Kenny Kline, collect 19 hits in the contest. Terry Watto leads the way with three hits, two of them doubles, and three runs scored while Paul Hydro also finishes with three hits. Jerry Strubinger, Jim Brogan and Don Deemer all contribute two hits and two runs scored, while the winners also receive a pair of hits from Ronnie Perry and Bernie Strubinger.
