FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS

Franklin Township Supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:

• Agreed to purchase a LeeBoy 8515E asphalt paver for $146,193, to be paid from the liquid fuels fund in the amount of $140,000 and remaining balance of $6,193 to be paid from the capital projects road machinery fund.

• On a 2-0 vote, with an abstention from Supervisor Barbara Beltz, authorized Univest Municipal Pension Services as trustee to adjust eligible retired police officer Thomas Beltz’s COLA at a rate of 2.8 percent effective Jan. 1, 2019.

• Agreed to advertise for a full-time laborer position.

• Agreed to advertise for a seasonal part-time plow truck driver position.

• Approved the purchase of two Goodyear tires for the township’s volunteer fire company’s rescue truck through the COSTARS Program.

• Authorized the secretary to advertise the board’s intent to appoint independent auditors to audit all of the township’s 2018 accounts.
