James Barron and Erika "Barron" Davis were hired as head boys and girls basketball coaches respectively at Tuesday night's Tamaqua Area School Board meeting.

Both are Tamaqua High School graduates.Also hired or re-hired were Sam Bonner, Head Football Coach ;Michael Bonner, Varsity Football Asst. Coach #1; Clarence Opolsky - Varsity Football Asst. coach 2; Shane McCabe - JV Football Coach; Tyler Kunkel - freshman football coach; Tom Bonner - freshman football co-coach; Terry Knoblauch - Head Junior High Football coach; Brad Murphy - asst. junior high football coach; William Kaczmarczyk - Head Golf Coach and Christine Mantz - Assistant Volleyball coach.
