June 29, 1946 Nesquehoning's Jackie Sharpe and Slatington's Russ Oswald both pitch all 11 innings in a Tri-County Legion game eventually won, 4-3, by the Nesquers. Oswald allows just six hits and no walks while striking out 14 but Sharpe, who gives up 12 hits, earns the victory. After Lou Higgins triples in the bottom of the 11th, Charley Youngcourt knocks in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly. Higgins finishes with a pair of hits while Joe Yatsko and Bobby Drigan both add a hit and run scored.
