October 23, 2008 - Northwestern's Lindsay Kerr pulls away from the rest of the field to capture first place at the District 11 Class AA cross country meet. Kerr's time of 18:20 on the Lehigh University course is 46 seconds faster than her closest competitor - Tamaqua's Amber Carroll. In the boys race, Panther Valley's Zack Lebo runs a 16:48 to take second place. Times News runners, besides Kerr, Carroll and Lebo, to qualify for the state meet include Northern Lehigh's Stephanie Pryor and Kyle Bendor, and Pleasant Valley's Samantha Klingel.
