A 34-year old woman escaped injury when she lost control of her vehicle along Covered Bridge Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, on Tuesday, June 15. State police at Lehighton said Bonnie J. Peters, of Effort, was driving a 2006 Honda Accord when she said she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The car struck a rock with the front passenger side.
