March 22, 1962 - Two area athletes receive Honorable Mention status on the annual United Press International All-Star Basketball team. Tamaqua's Bill Willing and Palmerton's Bill Heydt both gain recognition on the UPI squad for Class A schools. Willing, a senior, finishes the season with 333 points, 102 assists and 70 steals.
