A Carbon County driver was cited following a two vehicle crash in Luzerne County.

State police at Hazleton said the crash occurred along SR309 in Hazle Township, in front of the state drivers license center. Troopers said Allen Herman, 77, of Nesquehoning, was northbound and attempted to turn left into the lot of the center when he pulled into the path of a southbound vehicle operated by Jean Zimmerman, 67, of Delano.The front of Zimmerman's vehicle struck the passenger side of Herman's, troopers said.Zimmerman was injured and was flown by MedEvac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, where she was admitted in stable condition. Herman was not injured.Herman was cited for a left turn violation, troopers added.
