September 17, 1988 - Greg Lazorick tallies two touchdowns and Jim Thorpe holds on to gain a 12-6 victory over Saint Clair. Lazorick opens the scoring in the second quarter when he breaks free for a 31-yard touchdown. Later in the frame, he adds a 2-yard scoring burst. The Olympians, coached by George Yaniger, come up with three turnovers on defense to help limit their opponents' points. Tony Wolfe and Mike Gillespie both come up with fumble recoveries. Sam Bonner also has a strong game, blocking a punt and an extra point, and recording a sack.
