Community health, information fair

St. Luke’s Palmerton and Gnaden Huetten campuses and the Palmerton Lions Club will co-host a Community Health and Information Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday on the main floor and cafeteria at the Palmerton Hospital campus, 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.

Free health screenings will be offered at no cost, including EKGs, bone density and hearing, as well as vouchers for cholesterol and blood glucose screenings at a St. Luke’s lab draw site. Representatives from agencies and organizations from Carbon and surrounding counties will be present with information and education on a variety of health & safety issues, including diabetes, nutrition, weight loss, exercise & fitness, foot health, frauds and scams, falls, gambling and addictions, Medicare, local government and more.

Door prizes will be awarded; you don’t need to be present to win. Bring a nonperishable food item and receive two tickets to win.

Sandwiches and baked goods, juice and coffee/tea will be served, courtesy of the Palmerton Lions Club.

There is no charge to attend the fair or for any of the screenings and refreshments.
