Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Oct. 2 to 6 is:

Monday: Sausage, potatoes, and French toast

Tuesday: Lemon pepper chicken and mashed potatoes

Wednesday: baked fish and Au gratin potatoes

Thursday: Center closed

Friday: Vegetable barley soup, shredded pork sandwich, and coleslaw

The senior center has also announced upcoming events for Oct. 2-13.

Scattergories starting at 11 a.m. on Oct. 2; try your skills with Minute to Win It Oct. 3 at 11 a.m.; Bingo will be played on Oct. 4 at 11 a.m.; the center will be closed Oct. 5; Board Games on Oct. 6.

The center will be closed Oct. 9 in observance of Columbus Day; Jack Gunsser will be there at 11 a.m. on Oct. 10 with all his gadgets for Can you Guess What This Is?; Birthday and Bingo on Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.; Now you Have It Now You Don’t on Oct. 12 at 11 a.m.; a van trip on Oct. 13 at 10 a.m., center will be open.

Nesquehoning

Recycling bins

Nesquehoning Borough Council reminds residents that as of Friday, recycling bins on Locust Street will be removed by the company.

Residents are asked to not place any recycling at that location after the bins are removed.

Neighborhood watch

The next Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the borough hall.
