Seventeen Tamaqua students took part in the Schuylkill County Special Olympics held recently at the Pottsville Area High School Crimson Tide Veterans Sports Stadium. Students had chances to compete in events, such as the long jump, walk, sprint, softball throw, shot put, and other activities. More than 300 students registered for the event.
