October 21, 1978 - A big game from Kevin Snyder helps Lehighton gain a 26-6 Centennial League victory over Northwestern. Snyder carries 23 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns and also catches a scoring pass from Steve Bottcher. Snyder gets the Indians on the board first with a 14-yard TD run in the opening quarter. The Indians, coached by Jim Wentz, extend their lead in the second frame on a pair of Bottcher passes - a 42-yarder to Snyder, and a 27-yarder to Rick Murray. Bottcher finishes 6-of-10 passing for 164 yards. The Tigers' lone score comes on a 41-yard run by Scott Fenstermacher.
