November 9, 1973 - Bobby Rhyder sets a Lehighton single-game rushing record in helping the Indians gain a 34-22 Lehigh Valley League victory over Palmerton. Rhyder carries 30 times for 193 yards - a new school mark - and three touchdowns. Rhyder reaches the end zone on runs of 6, 1, and 37 yards. The winners, coached by Andy Silock, also receive a short scoring run from Lamont Rodgers while Brian Hansler blocks a punt and recovers it in the end zone for another touchdown.
